Collection: The Sanctuary For All Beating Hearts

Sanctuary, extended to every living, breathing nervous system in the home.

The dog has Opinions about textile weight. The cat has decided which chair is hers. The household pets are not separate from the household — they are inside it, on the soft surfaces, claiming the corner of the sofa that gets the morning sun, asking, in their own way, for the same things everyone else is. A warm spot. A soft surface. A predictable rhythm. A place that is theirs.

Lillian is consistent on this point: pets on furniture, provided the textiles can be laundered. The Beating Hearts collection is the small set of objects that recognise pets as part of the Sanctuary rather than separate from it. A proper bed in the right corner. A throw they can claim without ruining it. A bowl that does not slide across the floor. The kind of small considerations that make a household more peaceful for everyone in it, including the ones with four legs and nothing to say about thread count.

Sanctuary that excludes the dog, and certainly the cat, is incomplete. Lillian doesn't recommend it.
